Alliance for Children is accepting applications for the 2017-2018 NC Pre-K school year. NC Pre-K is designed to support 4-year old children academically, behaviorally and socially to prepare them for success in school and beyond. A recent report shows North Carolina's NC Pre-K is once again rated among the highest in the nation. It is one of only six state programs to meet all 10 NIEER (National Institute of Early Education Research) quality preschool benchmarks. Read more

Alliance for Children board of directors proudly announces Linda Smith as the new Executive Director. Linda brings over 30 years experience in education and nonprofit work. Through her leadership with JobReady Partnership and its New Century Scholars Program, Linda has collaborated with local organizations and businesses providing educational opportunities to students who might not otherwise choose a college education.
